Katharine Coles

KATHARINE COLES is a marketeer, branding expert, author and entrepreneur with over 20 years experience in high-tech, association, Internet, non-profit, health care and entrepreneurial organizations. She is owner of Mad Marketeer, “Helping Business Make Sense of Marketing Madness”. She is also co-author of “Leading Partners: How Men and Women Lead Differently and How We Can Work Together” with Michael Gurian.

Previously, Katharine worked as VP of Marketing for Women in Technology International (WITI). In her career, Katharine has developed and implemented marketing programs and PR campaigns for start-up/small, mid, and large organizations including MCI, Stratus Computer, Cerenade and NaviPath – a CMGI company.

She has also been ardently committed to “giving back” throughout her life and has served as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate), advocating for abused children in Northern Virginia; mentored inner-city children from Stand High Stand United in Boston, MA; serves on the Board of P.S. I Love You Foundation, a non-profit that provides inspiration and education programs to at-risk children in Southern California; and serves on the Board of Access Executive Network, an organization dedicated to bringing together leaders and senior executives to enhance professional connections while giving back to the community. She earned her MBA from George Washington University and a B.S. in Marketing from the University of Virginia.
