A great article. I love the way it puts the balance of two approaches as well as drawing on personal parenting experience. So often as ‘experts’ we are expected to give black and white answers. In reality, the circumstances, people involved and many complex details determine how we should respond to children. Parenting is a craft and responding to tears just one aspect on this complex journey.
